Agnieszka Kurant onderzoekt collectieve en niet-menselijke intelligenties, de toekomst van arbeid en creativiteit, en de vormen van uitbuiting binnen het digitaal kapitalisme. Haar werken zijn speculatieve gedachte-experimenten, gecreëerd in samenwerking met wetenschappers en filosofen. Ze bouwt complexe systemen, netwerken en structuren op, bestaande uit meerdere actoren (moleculen, dieren, bacteriën, kunstmatige-intelligentie-algoritmes of menigten mensen) die interageren om hybride vormen voort te brengen die voortdurend in transformatie zijn. Schommelend tussen het biologische, digitale en geologische, het natuurlijke en het kunstmatige, leven en niet-leven, verkennen haar werken pluralistische subjectiviteit, de evolutie van levende systemen, cultuur en technologie, transformaties van het menselijke, automatisering en cybernetica.

Agnieszka Kurant investigates collective and nonhuman intelligences, the future of labor and creativity, and the exploitations within digital capitalism. Her works are speculative thought experiments, created in collaboration with scientists and philosophers. She sets up complex systems, networks, and structures made of multiple agents (molecules, animals, bacteria, Artificial Intelligence algorithms or crowds of people) who interact to produce hybrid forms undergoing perpetual transformation. Oscillating between biological, digital, and geological, natural and artificial, life and nonlife, her works explore plural subjectivity, the evolution of living systems, culture and technology, transformations of the human, automation and cybernetics.
