Antye Guenther

Antye Guenther, ook bekend als DATA DIVA, is een beeldend kunstenaar en kunstenaar-onderzoeker. Vertrekkend vanuit haar achtergrond in geneeskunde, fotografie en het leger, en sterk beïnvloed door feministische sciencefiction, draait haar artistieke praktijk rond thema's zoals (niet-)biologische intelligentie en supercomputers, wetenschappelijke representaties van cognitieve processen en gedachtecontrole, lichaamsperceptie in technokapitalistische samenlevingen en sciencefiction. Haar werk neemt daardoor hybride vormen aan: performances, performatieve keramische objecten, fictieve videotutorials, foto-tekstwerken, speculatieve scripts, kunstenaarspublicaties en narratieve installaties.

Antye Guenther, aka DATA DIVA, is a visual artist and artist-researcher. Drawing on her background in medicine, photography and the military, and strongly influenced by feminist science fiction, her artistic practice revolves around themes such as (non-)biological intelligence and supercomputers, scientific representations of cognitive processes and mind control, body perception in techno-capitalist societies and science fiction. Her work therefore takes on hybrid forms: performances, performative ceramic objects, fictional video tutorials, photo-text works, speculative scripts, artist publications and narrative installations.
