Arjon Dunnewind

Arjon Dunnewind is directeur van IMPAKT [Festival and Centre for Media Culture] in Utrecht, Nederland. Hij houdt van constructieve controverse en ziet kunst als het vroege-waarschuwingsmechanisme dat essentieel is voor onze huidige mediagedreven samenleving. Dunnewind studeerde Beeldende Kunst en Media aan de Utrechtse School voor de Kunsten van 1985 tot 1991. In 1988 organiseerde hij het eerste IMPAKT Festival en in 1993 richtte hij de IMPAKT Foundation op. Dunnewind cureerde tentoonstellingen en vertoningsprogramma's voor onder meer het Museo de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, het NCCA in Moskou, RURU Gallery in Jakarta, transmediale Berlijn en Ars Electronica Linz. Hij was adviseur voor het Nederlands Filmfonds, het Mediafonds, Fonds BKVB en het Mondriaan Fonds.

Arjon Dunnewind is director of IMPAKT [Festival and Centre for Media Culture] in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He enjoys constructive controversy and sees art as the early warning mechanism that is essential to our current media-driven society. Dunnewind studied Fine Arts and Media at the Utrecht School of Arts from 1985 to 1991. In 1988 he organized the first IMPAKT Festival and in 1993 he established the IMPAKT Foundation. Dunnewind has curated exhibitions and screening programmes for among others the Museo de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, the NCCA in Moscow, RURU Gallery in Jakarta, transmediale Berlin and Ars Electronica Linz. He has worked as an advisor for the Dutch Film Fund, the Dutch Mediafonds, Fonds BKVB and the Mondrian Fund.
