Camilla Colombo

Camilla Colombo is een curator wiens praktijk het snijvlak tussen artistiek onderzoek en wetenschappelijk onderzoek verkent. Met een achtergrond in de podiumkunsten en belangenbehartiging voor de kunsten op Europees niveau, werkte ze in Italië, het VK en België, voor organisaties van allerlei omvang en voor onafhankelijke kunstenaars, met een focus op multidisciplinaire en multimediale producties. Ze werkte samen met en cureerde bij hedendaagse kunstinstellingen in België en daarbuiten, zoals BOZAR, iMAL, ISELP en Atelier LUMA. Ze is medeoprichter en artistiek directeur van Ohme (BE), een organisatie die hedendaagse maatschappelijke vraagstukken onderzoekt via transdisciplinaire initiatieven in kunst en wetenschap. Naast haar curatoriale praktijk richtte ze Culture Solutions op, een onafhankelijke non-profitorganisatie die bijdraagt aan het internationale culturele-betrekkingenbeleid van de EU, en was ze medeoprichter van SALOON Brussels, een netwerk voor vrouwen die actief zijn in de Brusselse kunstenscene.

Camilla Colombo is a curator whose practice explores the intersections between artistic inquiry and scientific research. With a background in the performing arts and in advocacy for the arts at the European level, she has worked in Italy, the UK, and Belgium, serving organisations of all sizes as well as independent artists, with a focus on multidisciplinary and multimedia productions. She has collaborated with and curated at contemporary art institutions in Belgium and abroad, such as BOZAR, iMAL, ISELP and Atelier LUMA. She is co-founder and Artistic Director of Ohme (BE), an organisation investigating contemporary societal issues through transdisciplinary initiatives in arts and sciences. Alongside her curatorial practice, she initiated Culture Solutions, an independent non-for-profit contributing to EU international cultural relations policies, and co-founded SALOON Brussels, a network for women working in the Brussels arts scene.
