Elena Sorokina

Elena Sorokina bekleedde sleutelposities binnen grote kunstevenementen, met name als associate curator van documenta 14 (Athene/Kassel) en als directeur van HISK (Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten) in België in 2017. Momenteel co-cureert ze het Survival Kit Festival in Riga, Letland, getiteld "Arrow of the Wind: On Artists and Healers". In 2022 co-cureerde ze het Armeens Paviljoen op de 59ste Biënnale van Venetië. Haar curatoriale praktijk ontvouwt zich op internationale schaal, binnen musea en kunstplatformen zoals BOZAR (Brussel), het Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, het Pera Museum (Istanbul), het Rudolfinum (Praag) en het Centre Pompidou (Parijs).

Elena Sorokina has held key positions within major art events, notably as Associate Curator of documenta 14 (Athens/Kassel) and as Director of HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts) in Belgium in 2017. She is currently co-curating Survival Kit Festival in Riga, Latvia, entitled "Arrow of the Wind: On Artists and Healers". In 2022, she co-curated the Armenian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale.
