Evelina Domnitch en Dmitry Gelfand creëren multisensoriële installaties en performances die fysica, chemie en informatica combineren met bevreemdende filosofische praktijken. Vertrekkend vanuit vragen over perceptie en bestendigheid, bestaan hun kunstwerken als voortdurend transformerende fenomenen, aangeboden ter observatie. Omdat deze exotische fysische fenomenen zich rechtstreeks, zonder tussenkomst, voor de toeschouwer afspelen, verruimen ze de zintuiglijke drempel aanzienlijk. De praktijk van het duo groeide via samenwerkingen met baanbrekende onderzoeksgroepen, waaronder LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory), EU Quantum Flagship, en Aerospace Engineering (TU Delft). Domnitch en Gelfand exposeerden in Gropius Bau (Berlijn), de Biënnale van Venetië, het MAXXI Museum of 21st Century Art (Rome), Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki) en het National Museum of Modern Art (Tokyo).

Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand create multisensory installations and performances that merge physics, chemistry and computer science with uncanny philosophical practices. Investigating questions of perception and perpetuity, their artworks exist as ever-transforming phenomena offered for observation. Because these exotic physical phenomena take place directly in front of the observer without being intermediated, they serve to vastly extend the sensory threshold. The immediacy of this experience allows the observer to transcend the illusory distinction between scientific discovery and perceptual expansion.
