Gregory Lang

Gregory Lang is een onafhankelijk curator die voornamelijk werkt met publieke en private instellingen (Cloud Seven en Fondation CAB in Brussel, MARe in Boekarest…), en tentoonstellingen organiseert die variëren van historische kunstwerken tot nieuw gecommissioneerde installaties. In relatie tot de aandachtseconomie plaatst zijn filosofische benadering het waarnemende lichaam centraal in de ruimte en biedt hij gedifferentieerde ervaringen van tijd aan. Zijn onderzoek, dat de mens beschouwt als deel van een ecosysteem, breidt zich uit naar de levende wereld en de wetenschappen, en naar architectuur en kunst in de publieke ruimte.

Hij is medeoprichter en artistiek directeur van het Living Earth Festival, een initiatief gelanceerd in oktober 2025, dat kunstenaars, wetenschappers en burgers samenbrengt die zich inzetten voor een leefbare toekomst. In 2008 richtte hij Solang Production op om projecten te stimuleren en te ontwikkelen die kunstenaars en de kunstwereld verbinden. Nauw betrokken bij het creatieve en onderzoeksproces van kunstenaars, curatoren en verzamelaars, co-produceert Gregory tentoonstellingen, installaties, plaatsgebonden werken en films.

Gregory Lang is an independant curator working primarily with public and private institutions (Cloud Seven and Fondation CAB in Brussels, MARe in Bucharest ...), organizing exhibitions that range from historical artworks to newly commissioned installations. In relation to the economy of attention, his philosophical approach centers the perceptive body in space and offers differentiated experiences of time. His research, that considers humans as part of an ecosystem, expands into the living world and sciences, and to architecture and art in public space.

He is the co-founder and artistic director of the Living Earth Festival, an initiative launched in October 2025, that brings together artists, scientists, and citizens committed to a habitable future. He founded Solang Production in 2008 to stimulate and develop projects linking artists and the art scene. Closely engaged with artists, curators and collectors in their creative process and research, Gregory co-produces exhibitions, installations, site specific works and films.
