Isabelle François

Dr. Isabelle François is a bio-engineer and strategic healthcare leader with over two decades of experience at the intersection of life sciences, advanced therapies, and the infrastructure that carries them from lab to patient.

She currently coordinates the Precision Therapies Logistics Gateway (PTLG), a Brussels Airport–led initiative building international, time- and temperature-critical corridors for the newest generation of medicines (cell, gene and radioligand therapies) whose journey demands the chain-of-identity, timing and control of clinical care rather than conventional freight.

This builds on years spent inside the advanced therapy ecosystem. As Director, Innovation & Strategy at MEDVIA, she managed an 8 million EUR earmarked funding process and helped unite Flanders’ ATMP ecosystem. For five years she led Health House as Managing Director, transforming it into an immersive experience center that brought life sciences (from digital anatomy to the future of care) to tens of thousands of visitors, and that connected researchers, clinicians, industry and the public around science. Earlier, as Intellectual Property Officer at KU Leuven, she managed the patent portfolio of more than twenty key opinion leaders and supported the creation of university spin-offs.

Isabelle holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences and an MSc in Bioengineering (Cell and Gene Biotechnology) from KU Leuven. Today she co-leads Jivana, advising on strategic projects that connect healthcare, science and society.
