Jérôme Van Biervliet

Jérôme Van Biervliet is Managing Director bij VIB, waar hij leiding geeft aan het Innovation & Business-team van meer dan 60 experten. Hij dreef de lancering van 19 VC-gesteunde start-ups, haalde ongeveer €140 miljoen aan partnering-inkomsten op, en bouwde biotope by VIB mee uit tot een door de Financial Times erkende toonaangevende accelerator. Hij zit ook in de raden van bestuur van onder meer Confo Therapeutics en Oncurious, en co-richtte Biotope Ventures I & II en Avante Biocapital op. Jérôme is opgeleid als dierenarts, met een doctoraat in de Biomedische Wetenschappen aan de KU Leuven.

He also serves on the boards of Confo Therapeutics and Oncurious, among others, and co-founded Biotope Ventures I & II and Avante Biocapital. Jérôme trained as a veterinarian and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven.
