Laurent Ney

Laurent Ney (Ney & Partners)  is bouwkundig ingenieur en architect, oprichter en CEO van Ney & Partners, een internationaal ingenieurs- en architectenbureau dat gespecialiseerd is in innovatieve bruggen, overkappingen en infrastructurele constructies. Sinds de oprichting van het bureau in 1996 heeft hij een team opgebouwd dat werkzaam is vanuit Brussel, Namen, Luxemburg, Tokio, Delft, Bordeaux en Hanoi, en dat bekendstaat om zijn op onderzoek gebaseerde ontwerpen waarin context, geometrie en materialen worden verenigd in elegante, lichtgewicht constructies. Laurent geeft colleges in bouwtechniek aan verschillende Belgische universiteiten en heeft boeken gepubliceerd zoals „Freedom of Form Finding“ en „Shaping Forces“. Daarnaast ontving hij belangrijke onderscheidingen, waaronder de Gustave Magnel-gouden medaille en de Japanse Tanaka-prijs voor brugontwerp.

Since establishing the office in 1996, he has built a team working from Brussels, Namur, Luxembourg, Tokyo, Delft, Bordeaux and Hanoi, known for research‑based design that unites context, geometry and materials into elegant, lightweight structures.
