Paul Dujardin

Paul Dujardin is kunsthistoricus en cultuurstrateeg. Momenteel is hij commissaris-generaal voor Erfgoed bij het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest, waar hij leiding geeft aan belangrijke initiatieven zoals het Art Nouveau-seizoen en het tweehonderdjarig jubileumprogramma „België 2030“. Van 2002 tot 2021 was hij CEO en artistiek directeur van BOZAR – het Centrum voor Schone Kunsten Brussel – en maakte hij er een internationaal erkend multidisciplinair kunstcentrum van in het hart van het Europese culturele debat. Eerder in zijn carrière richtte Paul het festival voor hedendaagse muziek Ars Musica op en leidde hij de artistieke programmering van de Brusselse Filharmonische Vereniging en het Nationaal Orkest. Daarnaast bekleedde hij leidinggevende functies bij organisaties zoals de Internationale Muziekraad (UNESCO) en Europa Nostra België.

Paul Dujardin is an art historian and cultural strategist, currently Commissioner‑General for Heritage at the Brussels‑Capital Region, where he leads major initiatives such as the Art Nouveau Season and the “Belgium 2030” bicentennial programme. From 2002 to 2021, he served as CEO and Artistic Director of BOZAR – the Centre for Fine Arts Brussels – transforming it into an internationally recognised multidisciplinary arts centre at the heart of European cultural debate. Earlier in his career, Paul founded the contemporary music festival Ars Musica and directed the Brussels Philharmonic Society and the National Orchestra’s artistic programming, and he has held leading roles in organisations such as the International Music Council (UNESCO) and Europa Nostra Belgium.
