Roeland Delrue

Roeland Delrue is medeoprichter en COO van Aikido Security, het Gentse cybersecuritybedrijf dat in iets meer dan drie jaar uitgroeide tot een unicorn. Aikido bouwt securitysoftware voor ontwikkelaars en securityteams en beveiligt vandaag meer dan 150.000 teams wereldwijd, van code en cloud tot runtime en autonome AI-pentesting.

Roeland combineert een achtergrond in sales en product en speelde een centrale rol in de internationale groei en go-to-market van Aikido. Voor Aikido werkte hij onder meer bij Showpad, waar hij enkele jaren in San Francisco meebouwde aan de Amerikaanse expansie, en bij HR-techbedrijf Officient.

Vandaag de dag blijft hij nauw betrokken bij zowel de commerciële als de productstrategie van Aikido, met de ambitie om softwarebeveiliging steeds autonomer te maken.

Roeland Delrue is co-founder and COO of Aikido Security, the Belgian cybersecurity company that grew from startup to unicorn in just over three years. Aikido builds security software for developers and security teams, protecting more than 150,000 teams worldwide across code, cloud, runtime, and autonomous AI-powered penetration testing.

Roeland combines a background in sales and product and has played a central role in Aikido’s go-to-market and growth. Before Aikido, he worked at Showpad, where he spent several years in San Francisco helping build out the company’s US presence, and later led product at HR-tech company Officient.

Today, he remains closely involved in both Aikido’s commercial and product strategy, with the ambition of making software security increasingly autonomous.
