Stijn Christiaens

Stijn (Stan) Christiaens (medeoprichter en Chief Data Citizen bij Collibra) richtte Collibra op vanuit de overtuiging dat databeheer – weten welke gegevens je hebt, waar ze vandaan komen en wie er verantwoordelijk voor is – niet louter een kwestie van naleving is, maar de basis vormt waarop betrouwbare AI en financiële infrastructuur zijn gebouwd. Hij geeft leiding aan het Data Office van Collibra en is verantwoordelijk voor de algemene datastrategie, de data-infrastructuur en het omzetten van interne inzichten in toegevoegde waarde voor onze klanten en partners. Daarnaast is hij de product-evangelist van Collibra en stimuleert hij toekomstige innovatie. Eerder heeft Stan verschillende afdelingen binnen Collibra opgezet, waaronder Product, Presales, Postsales, Partnerships, Marketplace en Research and Education. Voordat hij medeoprichter werd van Collibra, was hij senior onderzoeker aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel, waar hij zich toelegde op toepassingsgericht onderzoek op het gebied van semantiek.

Stan leads Collibra’s Data Office and is responsible for overall data strategy, data infrastructure and translating internal learnings into value for our customers and partners. He is also Collibra’s product evangelist and drives future innovation. Prior to cofounding Collibra, he was a senior researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he focused on application-oriented research in semantics.
