Vincent Hiligsmann
Vincent Hiligsmann is Chief Innovations Officer bij Melexis, een wereldwijde leverancier van micro-elektronische halfgeleideroplossingen. Melexis ontwikkelt sensor- en aandrijftechnologieën voor toepassingen op het gebied van onder meer mobiliteit, robotica en geavanceerde industriële systemen.
Een voorbeeld hiervan is een zeer geavanceerde robotvinger die is ontwikkeld met Europese knowhow en sensortechnologie. De innovatie mag dan hier zijn ontstaan, maar de opschaling en industrialisatie verschuiven steeds meer naar China, waar snelheid, productiecapaciteit en toeleveringsketens op een ander niveau opereren.
In het panel ‘Moet Europa in hetzelfde tempo innoveren als de VS en China?’ brengt Vincent het perspectief naar voren van een Europees hardwarebedrijf dat internationaal actief is om innovatie te versnellen, de productie op te schalen en in te spelen op snel veranderende markten.
